Bio Fuel Fireplaces

Bio fuel fireplaces burn bio-ethanol, so they need no chimney, flue or gas connection and burn clean, with no smoke. Our range includes wall-mounted, hanging, freestanding, insert and built-in models from NovaFlame, Signi Fires, Kratki and SAFire, plus bio fuel fire pits. Wall-mounted models fit on a non-combustible wall, and the Slimline and Fold ranges come in lengths from 500mm to 1400mm. Freestanding models such as the Umlilo are portable and can be used indoors or outdoors.

• Do bio fuel fireplaces need a chimney or gas connection? No. They burn bio-ethanol in a vent-free burner, so they need no chimney, flue or gas connection.
• Can I use one in a bedroom? Several of our wall-mounted models are described as suitable for bedrooms, because they need no chimney or gas connection. Check the product page for your model.
• How are they installed? Wall-mounted models are installed on a non-combustible wall. Freestanding models such as the Fold and Umlilo are portable, so you can move them around.
• How do I refuel safely? Never refill the unit while it is hot. Always allow it to cool completely before adding more fuel.
• Will it heat my room? Bio fuel fireplaces are chosen mainly for their flames and ambiance. They give some heat, but not enough to heat a large area, so use them as a feature rather than as your main heater.
• How long does one burn? It depends on the model and setting. The bio fuel fire pits, for example, burn for up to 12 hours on a 10L tank.
