Frequently asked questions:

  • Do freestanding gas fireplaces need a chimney? Most do not. Many are flueless or open designs, but a few connect to a flue pipe, so check the product page for your model.
  • Can I use one outdoors or move it around? The Kratki Patio models are open designs made for patios and outdoor or semi-covered spaces, and their wheels let you move them across flat surfaces. Check the product page before using any model outdoors.
  • Can I install one in a bedroom or bathroom? No. Flueless gas fireplaces may not be installed in bedrooms or bathrooms, unless the unit has a chimney or a permanent (non-motorised) extraction system.
  • Who must connect the gas? Gas connections must be done by a registered gas installer, in line with the manufacturer’s specifications and SANS regulations.
  • How do I choose the right size? Stated heating capacities run from 120m³ to 300m³, so match the model to your room. Contact us for detailed specification sheets.
  • What is not included in the price? Product prices exclude delivery, parts and installation.
