Frequently asked questions:

  • How do I choose between wood, gas and kamado? Wood braais give a traditional wood-fired flavour. Gas braais light quickly and are easier to control, and gas-and-wood combination braais let you use either. Kamado Jan ceramic kamados have a 30mm ceramic body that locks in heat, in 40cm, 56cm and 63cm sizes.
  • Do braais need building work? Built-in braais are fitted into a patio, lapa or outdoor kitchen. The Super Deluxe Freestanding Braai and the Freestanding Ember Braai need no building or brickwork.
  • Can I use a braai in a closed-off area? Closed-off areas need proper smoke and heat extraction. Gas and combination braais need an extraction canopy and motors if used in a closed-off area. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
  • Are braais made to order? Contact us to enquire about product manufacturing lead times.
  • What is not included in the price? Prices exclude delivery. Some products also exclude flue components, parts and installation, so check the product page.
