Shop fireplaces for sale in South Africa, all in one place. Whether you call it a fireplace, a fire place or a wood stove, this page brings together every indoor fireplace we sell, so you can compare them side by side: closed combustion wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces, bio fuel fireplaces and pellet fireplaces, freestanding or built in. Brands include Kratki, Dovre, Lacunza, Charnwood, Heeta, Forge Fires, Northern Flame, SAFire and Signi Fires.

Start by choosing a fuel. Wood fireplaces give real flames and suit everything from small rooms to large open-plan spaces, with outputs up to 25kW. Gas fireplaces light at the touch of a button, and many are flueless, so they need no chimney. Bio fuel fireplaces burn bio-ethanol and need no flue or gas connection. Pellet fireplaces feed themselves automatically and can be controlled by remote or smartphone.

Browse by type: freestanding fireplaces, built-in wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces, bio fuel fireplaces or pellet fireplaces, or see the brands we stock.

Frequently asked questions:

  • Which fireplace is best for heating a home? For steady heat in a living area, choose a closed combustion wood fireplace or a pellet fireplace sized to your room. Gas fireplaces give quick, controllable heat, and bio fuel fireplaces are mainly for ambience.
  • What size fireplace do I need? As a rule of thumb, allow about 1kW for every 10m² of floor area, and size up for open-plan or poorly insulated spaces. Use our fireplace sizing guide to work it out.
  • What is a closed combustion fireplace? It is a wood fireplace with a sealed glass door and adjustable air controls, so the wood burns more slowly and more of the heat goes into the room than with an open fireplace.
  • Do I need a chimney? Wood and pellet fireplaces need a flue. Many gas fireplaces are flueless, and bio fuel fireplaces need no flue.
  • Can I see the fireplaces before I buy? Yes. Visit our showroom at One Highveld Building, 5 Bellingham Street, Highveld, Centurion. We also deliver nationwide.
  • Do you install fireplaces? No. We supply the fireplace and can recommend installers. Gas connections must be done by a registered gas installer, in line with the manufacturer’s specifications and SANS regulations.
  • Are fireplaces made to order? Contact us to enquire about product manufacturing lead times.
  • What is not included in the price? Prices exclude delivery, flue pipes, parts and installation.
